I am a new sewer and this was my first try at a digital pattern! It was super easy to get myself set up and follow along. I also really love having the printed instructions handy with me as I go. I absolutely recommend this pattern to anyone wanting wanting to try. I think it's a great beginner project, yet also had a number of new techniques to me, which I enjoyed trying and perfecting along the way. I have already made 2 split versions and I am about to start the non split version! I can't wait to try the dresses too!
I made the probably unwise decision to sew my dress for officiating my best friend's wedding because I couldn't find any options that worked for the colors, formality, and climate (very tropical! Very humid!) of the big day. So even though I only learned how to sew this year, this pattern and the accompanying videos meant that my dress turned out perfectly for what I needed!
Add in a batik sash and the groom's reject boutonniere and it was perfect for the event. I can't wait to make the other patterns in this bundle and I'm very glad I invested in ordering all of them!
I made this for my uncles wedding, it was perfect, super comfy for the whole day, but equally elegant!
I loved making this dress, it was so easy to follow and the online sew-along made it so enjoyable. A project I would recommend to sewers of all abilities! I canβt wait to make another version!
The pattern and instructions are so clearly set out and easy to follow, it made it a delight to follow along and work from. The hard work in making a pattern available in a broad size range really shows and is really appreciated! The Rossi came out as my summer linen dress of dreams, and customisations make it a really versatile pattern and one Iβll be coming back to time and time again!
